Stained Glass Candles

Another success story in the world of pinning today! I apologize in advance for the picture quality of mine compared to that of the Pinterest example, I also had not added the tea lights yet. As for the latest project, stained glass candles, the results came out amazingly! Granted my patience was slim to none when I completed this project. The supplies needed were:

  • Tissue paper
  • Mod podge (in my case I simply watered down regular Elmer’s glue)
  • A vase of your choice (my set of two was $5 from Michael’s)
  • Paintbrush
  • Tea lights
  • Scissors

I wanted a more glassy feel to my candle holders, or a more foggy appeal than that of the one I found on Pinterest. My furniture is darker wood and I wanted my holders to incorporate that darker feel but with a pop of color in certain places. I chose some tissue paper from Michael’s that I felt appropriate and that I knew I could reuse later, seeing as I would not use the entire package. I barely even used an entire page for mine! Below are my results!
